hey guyz...I was just wonderin what kind of throttle response do the new 500s get? I know they have good acceleration, but from like 60 to 100 if you crack the throttle...is it good, or do you have to downshift. I'm hoping to get a used one this winter, so any info would be helpful. From what I've researched they seem like really good bikes...I hope its fast enough though Thanx!!

 

I can't say from personal experience what kind of throttle response they have. I don't think you'll get that lightning quick response the super sportbikes have, but I just watched this video clip of a 500 spanking a mustang gt on the highway! So I wouldn't worry too much about it's performance.

 

You gotta be screaming in the rpms but its a hella fun bike and easy to manuever
