Oil
Well there is much debate about the use of synthetics, personally I don't run it. I just go and get it off my local dealers shelf, and it costs like 4-5 bucks a litre. A little on the high side I know, but I like knowing that it won't F-Up my engine/transmission. As far as weight, I run 20w-50 during the summer months, and come late sept/oct I find myslef hitting 3000 miles again and needing a change. Then I'll use 10w40 which is what came in her from the factory. Don't be afraid of running your bike to 3000 miles before changing it, unless that is, you have ungodly amounts of free time and tons of cash to blow on oil. The reson for saying that is becuase oil doesn't start to break down before then. The only exception that I have been told to that is to change oil at the begining of the riding season. d
Just some thoughts that I have been told by several shops, and friends that are race mechanics and ride street bikes as well.

with the synthetic, thats one of the biggest argumentative topics ive ever seen about oil. i would see where it was better, but then i see the other side... hell i dont know, i know i run kawi10w-40 in mine. QUESTION: are K&N OIL filters worth the extra$$???????? those bastards are like $15.00 ea!
