Chain and sprocket
Hey im looking for the best chain and sprocket i can get for my 2001 zx6r. I dont really know much about the bike and im looking for help im trying to learn as much as i can. If anyone can help me out that would be great thanks again hope to hear some info soon.
I don't own a kawi sportbike but I wrench on mine so I'll chime in here for ya.
My preferred (and extremely respected) brands for chains is DiD. Get a VM or VL series chain (uses X-rings instread of O-rings). The extra cost will even out through longer life (treat it well, of course).
As for sprockets, if you want what the OEMs use, but don't care if it isn't stylized, go with AFAM. www.afam-usa.com
If you want something wacky looking check out vortex racing.
I use a DiD VM chain and AFAM front and rear sprockets on my Ducati for durability.... I am very happy with the two companies' products.
cheers!

I replaced my sprockets last year with sprocket speicalest sprockets
1 down in the front and up 2 in the rear... creating a awesome accelartion but you compromise your top end as you will run out faster than with OEM gearing.
This is one of the best mods you can do for the buck.. a great improvement in the butt dyno
I still am running my stock chain 14k miles on it [&:] it will be getting replaicement this winter for sure.. im lucky i have gotten this far with it.. but it showes you with good mataince they will last...
I will be getting a DID gold x ring chain!! i have heard nothing but good about them!!
