Ride to work day is WEDNESDAY
Check it out, if you ever needed a good excuse to ride to work, here it is: http://www.ridetowork.org
I rode in today (about 22 miles, Everett > Seattle), first commute down a straight highway. There's a carpool lane most of the way, so it was pretty quick coming in. I usually bus it in because traffic can be a pain if I'm in my car.
All in all it was pretty uneventful, weather was good, cars were well behaved. Although any excuse to ride is a good one... I think I highly prefer the backcountry twisties over the straight-shot any day.
How many of you are riding in tomorrow?

Good point... but if you _did_ need a good excuse... this is a good one!
Before I got the bike I told myself that I wouldn't commute on it... Thinking about all those idiots on the road in cars not paying attention during the morning/evening commute scared the **** out of me. I've been rear-ended in stop & go traffic by a soccer-mom in a mini-van twice in the last 3 years, and that's in my CAR! I can't imagine how bad it wouldv'e been on a bike...
On the ride in this morning though, I left early enough to miss most of the bad traffic, and it was enjoyable... Definately more fun in the twisty backroads, but like you said, any excuse to ride.

I GOT my bike to ride to work. So I ride all the time. Sucks that they're repaving the road to work right now though. Still took the bike and even with a 105 degree heat index, I rode today and will ride tomorrow!!!

hell ya i ride to work everyday. less stress on me. i don't have to wake up as early as i would if i was taking my truck. the only excuse i have is, i love to ride. and wave at the people who are stuck in that traffic.
I ride to work when it's definetly a nice day! But it's not that fun, I have a 6 miles commute...lol. but since I'll be moving back to NY and will be commuting to CT I will be riding the bike on the nice days. One cause I have a lease, and can't afford the 105 mile round trip on my car and the gas prices SUCK!
rode yesterday (wednesday) and rode in today (thrusday) I saw more bikes this morning then I did yesterday... even got into a race on the highway, with a 05 gsxr 600... I left him in the dust and hit the rev. limiter in 6th... [:'(]
