my husband rides 500 ninja and after he rode my bike he told me that shifting gears feels too soft...he says it's very unusual (he's ridden other bikes too so he can compare) ...to me it feels normal, I can shift gears no problem, but I don't know maybe he is right? maybe shifter supposed to be stiff?

Mine doesn't feel stiff (I ride a 500) I am pretty sure that there is a way to adjust your clutch though. Is it a new bike? If it is you should probably get it checked out just in case.

 

If your bike isn't broken in yet it will feel like it's "soft" once you get to about 600 mi.s You HAVE to wind it out to about 9 grand on the rpms. you will feel the bike "pop" once it breaks in. The same goes for your pipe once it is broken in you will hear the deeper "growl" in the pipe. Please don't get a new pipe, they sound trerrible on the 250s. Good luck and I hope this info helps.
