hey, Im new to this forum and I was just looking for some advice, Im 16 and have had a good amount of dirt biking, but im looking into street, My friend who is an experienced biker has an 1993 zx6r for sale, for 500, But he had an accident on it and it needs a new chain, carb job and paint job. Should i get it? also if not for me to ride, but maybe to resell on ebay?
ps. whats insurance like on a street bike, its cheap on my yamaha zt225 dual sport. but i dunno about a ninja.

$500 bucks huh, if that's ALL that is wrong with it, its a steal. As far as insurance goes, call the company and get a quote is the best way to find out. I can't give you my qoute, it would do you no good.

 

Welcome to the forum Sounds like a steal. Plus it would be a great street starter. As for insurance, call for a quote(like remo said), but for the price your paying for the bike get the lowest coverage you can. That will help with the cost.
