fuel
The specs for the 2006 aren't currently on Kawi's website, but according to their info the 2005 (which I'm sure would be the same for the 2006) - the fuel capacity of the tank is 4.8 gallons (or 18 litres). Hard to say for sure what your mpg would be though, depends on your driving habits.
My 500 holds about the same amount of fuel. So far I have about 220 kms on my last fill up - I have never actually sat down to figure out how far I can go on one tank. I wish it had a fuel gauge! But at least it has reserve and I know I can run her for quite a bit on that!
You'll just have to figure it out by trial, drive it for as long as you can on one tank of gas, when it starts cutting out on ya - check your mileage and then switch it to reserve. Then you'll know.

I just got a chance to fill up my '06 for the second time a few days ago. I went 199 miles on the trip odometer since the first time I filled it up, and the tank required 3.981 gallons of gas to be exact. by dividing these two numbers together I averaged 49.98 MPG. I guess the low MPG I am getting must be due to breaking in the engine though. I have been riding fairly slow, and trying not to rev the engine too high. I'll be interested in seeing what my mileage will be later on.

I'd like to see it get up past 70, but probably wouldn't ever happen.
