I have just recently made my first tire change. I was just curious how far everyone went before they had to switch tires. My rear tire's centerstripe was at the mark in the tread on the unbalanced side when at 7470 mi. Any contenders?? lol

 

i usually chew up the edges of my tires first but im good for 5000 or so. might get 9000 out of my stocker, that sob has concrete in the rubber compound.

 

i went 10,000 when i change the rear for the first time......

 

must ride pretty light back there, or have better balance than mine did this past change

It does depend on your tire compound and ridding style, I have rarely worn out a rear and think I have only done it once. Mine have all fallen victims of the dreaded nail or other road hazard [&o]

Nothing like getting a nail on a tire with 500 miles on it[:@]

 

i usually get bout 10k to a back tire.

 

i got about 6000 on my oem tire. maybe could of got more out of it if i didn't get burn out happy...........

 

im pushing 4200 on my stocker right now....down to the wear bars in the center.....mainly comuting miles....have kinda a flat spot on the rear
