I was just wondering if this would work to take of my chain?

I don't know. It does not look heavy duty enough to work on a bike chain. I think that one was designed for bicycles...even if it worked once, it would probably break on ya. I would save a couple of more dollars, and get the right tool.....JMO

I wouldn't buy it. It does look like a bicycle chain tool. Most of the motorcycle chains are a 530 or above, and chain tools for them tell you to grind the pins before you push them out.

I have a Motion Pro. Around $100. I've heard mix reviews about it, but it works for me. D.I.D. makes a good one too.

Thanks all. I've been wanting to clean my chain but i need the tools. Might as well fork out some more dough for the heavy duty ones.

so that tool is reqired when replacing your chain? or swaping to a did or rk ect.....

What dragon said was correct; it will break and reattach the chain all you need is the new links.
