2001 1500. new battery. all i here is a clicking sound when i hit the starter. any suggestions?

 

Generally that is your starter relay making the noise. Could be a bad connection in your starter button or connector causing a voltage drop to the relay. Sometimes contact cleaner sprayed into the switch and connector will solve that issue. good luck
