Default 1998 KLF300 Starting problems

I've got a 98 Bayou KLF300C10 that only clicks when I hit the start button. I can start it with the pull rope. I tried to jump start it before having the battery tested at the local Napa. It is good and hot. The fuse at the battery is good as well. I've been reading up on this problem in the forums and most everyone refers to a bad solenoid as being the problem. Is this "solenoid" the same as the "relay" shown on all the part breakdowns which is located right by the battery case? If not, is it part of the starter? What part am I looking for? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums!!

Does sound like the solenoid.....I am not for sure on your model, but generally, batt cable from the batt, to the solenoid, to the starter.....Do you have 2 wires to the starter? A batt cable, and a smaller wire?

Check all starter and solenoid connections, ie take apart clean reattach. If all looks good solenoid or starter. Tap on starter with plastic hammer and see if it engages. While holding in start button of course. Sometimes works to knock loose corrosion.
