Default 2001 KX250 Rear Tire

I just bought a 2001 KX250 used and found that the rear tire is 100/90-19 instead of 110/90-19. The tire needs to be replaced so I am wondering if I should use the proper 110/90-19 tire or just stick with a 100/90-19. There have been many aftermarket adjustments and parts on the bike so I thought maybe they stuck a different wheel on it.

The tire that came on your bike was a 110/90/19. So someone switched it to the narrower tire. Its mostly prefference. If you have put some hours on the 100 then maybe try switching to the 110 to see if you feel a noticable difference.

The 110/90 - 19 is the original tire but the 100/90-19 is just narrower than it´s 1cm narrower than the 110 You feel alot difference, My experience is that it´s better to begin in the 110/90-19 tire size just to get better control and handle!!
