what do you guys end up paying for your premium on the 650?

i just got a quote through progressive and she said about 115 a month for premium full coverage. and i said that through state farm my premium on my ninja 500 was 30 dollars a month and she said its because its the R model. which the 500 was an R model. she said that it goes 650 650R and 650RR. idiot insurance people dont know what theyre talking about. cause kawasaki only makes one ninja 650. any ideas?

I am 27, never owned a cycle but did attend the Motorcycle Safety course. I am picking up a 2009 650R and I was quoted 94 for full coverage from progressive.

The dealer says that the 2009 650r will be released beginning of March. I can't wait!!!!

Why you guys have to pay so much?

I have a 2006 650r (1500 miles when I bought it a year ago). It was my first bike and thru Progressive I pay $120 per year. I am 37 with a good driving record.

Wonder why the difference.
Can't wait to ride.

I do have full coverage. It is most certainly because of age. Its an amazing difference.

I live in the northeast US. Its very cold till the end of March/April and their is alot of anti-skid on the roads. Plus my bike would get nicked and scratched to heck because of the anti-skid.

I'm waiting on the 09' and it will be my first bike. Age 36 w/2 tickets on my record. My quote from State Farm was much cheaper than Progressive. With full coverage and $1000 deductable across the board, it's $77/mo. It was more than double w/Progressive.

I live on Oahu, Hawaii. Pay full coverage on 2007 650r I bought brand new at $250/yr. Clean record, MSF/MSRC, 1 accident (not my fault, but killed my last bike), and no tickets. Been riding for 24 years and licensed for 13. Oh yeah, $300 deductible. Take care and ride safe!
