the guy that was leading thought it was a puddle and rode over it (it was small) the ground fell away and he was lucky to make it out, see the track at the end of the hole. The second guy was on a different line luckily and he flagged me down. Lucky the first guy was a lot lighter than the second guy and me!!!

Okay,,, some really great pics... looks like you have a great place to ride. I bit dangerous with the ground falling away like that but you gotta take the good with the bad I guess. The weather that day looked like a perfect day for a ride.... Thanks for the pictures.

Very nice, and you have someone to ride with, that's always nice. I'm still trying to get some of the locals interested in buying a bike like ours.

Looks like maybe a buried pipeline that didn't get fully packed back in when covered?

yeah deej it helps, I was lucky I found these guys on an aussie forum by searching for "coffs harbour" what I found was old posts but I took a chance and sent one of the guys a message, he responded and you see the results. We all have 250's which is good tho Josh (the other KLX) needs a bigger bike he is a BIG boy.

Nobrakes, I doubt there is any pipelines where we were riding lol, if you have a good look at one of the pix of the hole you can see a big log about 4' under the ground, the dirt from the ground that fell in was on the log and either side of the log there was another drop. I don't know how deep that was !!

Gravy Train the weather was good although hot, Josh was sweating so bad it looked like someone had thrown a cup of water in his face

oh yeah we going again on Sunday, different tracks

P.S. spode ... everyone knows aussie beaches are the best [8D]

Mav, I grew up on the east coast of South Africa which looks so similar to the pics you posted I felt homesick. Man, you guys have got a great place there. Beaches are almost as good as South African ones!

...the biggest mountain we have here in Wichita is the trash heap and the only beaches we have are found on the street corner
