Default WOW!!!!!!

Here is what I did today to the little klx.

added klx300 muzzy full exhaust.
klx300 Dyno jet kit.
crankcase breather mod.
13 tooth sprocket.
air box snorkel removed.
took it out for a little rip and can sum up the difference in one word.

WOW!!!!!!!! [sm=badbadbad.gif]

pulls hard from about 3000rpm right up to redline.
revs way quicker.
lofting the front wheel is now as simple as wot.
and the exhaust note is awesome.
this is the way kawasaki should have built this bike.

Sound like a plan for me also. One question, I live in GA where we don't do Emissions testing on bikes, I don't think. I this pipe legal for the road, I don't think it matters but I really don't know? Any feedback would be good.

That's good question above, how loud is that pipe?

From what I read the FMF systems are supposed to have good performance gains without being loud and has a spark arrestor. That's probably the way I'm going later this year.

Did you leave in the secondary air injection (smog) stuff? Did you remove the carb to install the jet kit? I wasn't sure if that would be easier. I've never done it but it doesn't look too bad. Also, did you drill out the throttle slide?

I'm suprised at how detuned this motor is. I'm used to sportbikes where a new pipe might give you 3 or 4 HP, and a little better throttle response, but one this motor, it seems like just these small external changes, really wake it up. I've also heard that this is a bullet proof motor that can handle some serious HP gains. I'm thinking next years winter project might be the big bore kit.

Crash.
not really sure if the pipe is street legal but it does come with a spark arrestor.

motoguy.
pipe is quite load but not to load if that makes sense.just sounds really sweet.
smog stuff is still on but will be removed on saturday.
Due to Me being kinda busy I had the shop that I bought the bike from do all the work.but I would guess you would have to remove the carb to rejet it.

I considered the same thing. But since the weather is looking ot stay cold here in the midwest for another 2 weeks at least... I figure I'll give it a shot. If I button her up and she won't run after following the recomendation on this site... then I'll trailer her over to the e shop.
