Exclamation Head in dead air

Greetings to all!
Buying my very first cruiser (previously I mostly enjoyed race bikes). Going with the 500 LTD.
Which windshiled (kawi or aftemarket) would put my ears in dead air (I am just over 5'6)? Trying to avoid the usuall booming turbulence of the barn door windscreens. Would be great if I could also see over the shield.
The yamaha barndoor on my vino scooter is just perfect- can see over and no turbulence at all - would like to have something like that on my upcoming Vulcan 500 LTD

Thank you for your wisdom in advance!

Hi I am about your height and I am using the Kawasaki vulcan windshield ( the larger one) and am quite satisfied with its performance.

When you ride, do you actually see over the top of the shield, or do you have to stretch out to do so?

Is there a lot of wind noise in your helmet (or if you ride without one, or with a half, is there a lot of turbulence in the ears)?

Yea about the only way to avoid that wind buffer situation is to ride with no windshield, or buy one of those new Honda ST 1300 bikes with the power window, or wear earplugs.
