Default 360 belt light

hi , after attempting to reset 360 belt light by swapping the connectors {black to grey etc }the belt light still stays on and the restrictor is stil cutting in . ive noticed even with the key off the motor on top of cvt cover was buzzing and it was red hot, have fitted a new variable speed unit and belt and tried to reset it several times , have put in a new battery and checked all the connections and earths . the only thing i havnt tried is a key switch what else could be wrong??? thanks

got 360 sorted after doing the procedure for resetting the belt light it still didnt work so i went looking for bad connections and found two fuses in front of the steering colum under the plastics . they had spare fuses with then from factory so i changed the one with the red wire and reset it again and it worked the light has gone out now but the motor on cvt cover is still getting hot and buzzing with key off only . i had it all opened so am going to spool it back and put it back together again in case it does not have enough travel and is trying to complete the cycle but cant , this would explain the motor getting hot i think

Go by the dealer and look at the manual it will show you where to place the motor in relation to a clock. It is very important. The operation measures the amount of resistance and then sets that amount in the computer to allow proper belt tensioning when engine braking is applied.
