she was a pure bread dalmation, 14 years old

she went def. last year and starting losing here sight.. over the past few months.. hes has been having problems with getting off here bed.. and the past 2 weeks has had bad direa..

Tonight we brought her to the vet. to she if there was anything.. but I guess it was just time.... it was a tough choice to make. But I think that we made the right on.. she is now in a better place.

RIP maxie I love you

Sorry about your loss Ian. RIP Maxie

Its hard to put them down after having them for so long. I had a cat for twelve years and then her kidneys started to fail and she started losing weight, we kept her going on medication and special food for a few months, but then there wasn't anything else we could do so we had her put down. That really sucked. I still miss her - RIP Boots.

That is one of the hardest things to do. I had a chiuaua (sp) for 13 years, and she had this Cushning disease, it's like a brain tumor. And everytime she would get excited she would go into a seasher, and it got really bad where she was having at least 3 a day. And I just couldn't bare to watch her go through such pain. So I decided to take her to the vet, and do what needed to be done. It was hard but she's in a better place now. RIP Carmal

It was the right thing to do Ian...don't feel bad about it.

RIP Maxie

To make things a little more happy around here, I have to tell ya'll the story after I put Carmal to sleep. Well my mom and I decided that we were going to put her in our back yard. Well we dug a hole, about 5 feet deep, had to make sure it was deep enough so that the other dogs wouldn't dig her up. So I lowered her into the hole, and my mom wanted to put her collar in the hole with her. So she bent down to put it in the hole and kinda fell into the hole. Now mind u, my mom is all of 5'2...so she's in this hole face first, with just her feet sticking out. We were crying so hard, [sm=boohoo.gif]but the min., that happened we started laughing, she couldn't get out, she kept trying to climb out using the walls of the hole, b/c she didn't want to push on the box and it come open. So I had to grab her by her belt loop and pull her out of this hole. It was a sight to see.
